PERFECT DERMA PEEL
The Perfect Derma™ Peel is safe, effective medium depth peel for All Skin Types & Ethnicities. This product is virtually painless, with no pre-peel skin preparation and little downtime. The Perfect Derma™ Peel is the only peel that includes the powerful anti-oxidant Glutathione, which lightens and brightens the skin, slows down the ageing process and helps prevent wrinkles.
What is it?
The Perfect Derma Peel is a medium depth peel consisting of a blend of different acids and glutathione, a potent antioxidant that enhances your results. This peel safely removes the very outer layers of your skin, revealing a fresher, brighter complexion. This increased cellular turnover helps to reduce fine lines, melasma, acne, acne scarring, and age spots and helps stimulate collagen production for firmer, tighter skin.
The Perfect Derma Peel is applied in clinic in as little as 30 minutes, and then clients are sent home with detailed aftercare to obtain the maximum benefits from this gentle but powerful peel, which is safe for all skin types.
THE EXPERIENCE
Before your derma peel treatment in our Dubbo skin and laser clinic, it is recommended to make an appointment for Skin Health Check. This is an assessment of the treatment area, as well as your medical history. Client safety and care is of the utmost importance to all of us, and therefore this will ensure your happiness and well-being, and that you receive the results you deserve.
What To Expect
After the skin health check, the areas to be treated will be gently cleansed and prepped.
As your technician begins to apply the Perfect Derma Peel solution to your skin, you may feel some slight stinging or burning, but most patients report minimal discomfort.
The Perfect Derma Peel is applied in layers to all treated areas, then you will be given a home care kit with instructions to follow for the next two days.
You will need to avoid direct sun exposure, especially for the first few days after your peel. Most treatments take about 45-50 minutes, making this an ideal procedure for clients wanting a quick and effective way to rejuvenate their appearance.
Preparation
All active skincare products that you are currently using should be discontinued at least 5 days prior to your scheduled appointment, such as topical acne medications, retinoids, and any products containing alpha or beta hydroxy acids.
Exposure to the sun should be avoided for a minimum of 1 week before and after your treatment.
In addition, do not wax 1 week before or after your appointment, as this can remove a layer of skin cells and increase your chance of adverse reactions.
Please arrive with minimal to no makeup.
If you have an active cold sore, your appointment will need to be rescheduled until it is completely resolved.
Contact lenses should be removed prior to your visit.
Post-treatment
Immediately after the peel has been applied the skin will either appear red, like a sunburn, or darker.
Peeling generally begins on day 3 following your Perfect Derma Peel, and may continue for 5 or 7 days until completely resolved, depending on the area treated and individual skin type.
Proper aftercare is extremely important to deliver the best results possible while your skin heals.
The Perfect Peel home care moisturiser (included with each peel) will reduce the visibility of peeling by hydrating.
By day six or seven the peeling process should be complete and the results are visibly astonishing.
Number of Treatments
After one treatment of The Perfect Derma Peel, overall skin tone and complexion will appear smooth, glowing and fresh.
Depending on skin conditions, multiple treatments may be necessary for desired results.
A series of 2-3 treatments applied once every 4 weeks will allow for optimal results for more severe skin conditions such as Melasma and active acne.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
As well as the face, The Perfect Derma Peel is commonly also applied to the neck, chest and hands. The Perfect Derma Peel can be applied to other areas of the body, but the process and the results will not necessarily be the same.
Best Suited For
Almost everyone is a good candidate for the Perfect Derma Peel with the exception of clients who are pregnant or nursing.
Also, if your skin is thin or extremely sensitive due to age or certain medications, you may not be a good candidate.
In addition, if you have been using isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 12 months, please advise your technician, as this medication can interfere with your skin’s ability to heal itself.
If you are prone to cold sores, we recommend taking anti-viral medication prior to and for a few days after your appointment.
Clients with melasma, moderate to severe acne, or more advanced signs of ageing may require several peels combined with therapeutic skin care products to see results.
For Added Benefit
The Perfect Derma Peel can be alternated or combined with other treatments including Epiblading, Qswitch Genesis, IPL, and Skin Needling, and can be part of a facial rejuvenation plan including cosmetic injectables such as Anti-wrinkle and Dermal fillers.
