A carbon peel is a revolutionary laser treatment that is completely painless with minimal-to-zero downtime.
A Carbon Laser Treatment is a medical grade liquid carbon mask (composed of mineral mud of volcanic rock) is applied to the skin. Laser technology is then used to perform the treatment.

THE EXPERIENCE
Before your Carbon Laser Peel treatment in our Dubbo Skin and Laser Clinic, you’ll have an in depth consultation to help create a personalised treatment plan for you. This is based on an assessment of the treatment area, as well as your medical history. Client safety and care is of the utmost importance to all of us, and therefore this will ensure your happiness and well-being, and that you receive the results you deserve.
What To Expect
Your skin is cleansed. The Q-switch laser is used to clean the pores, you will hear a snapping sound until the pores are clear. A a thin layer of carbon paste is applied to the face. This will quickly absorb any contaminants from within the pores and exfoliate the skin, while also reducing inflammation from any blemishes.
We’ll then pass the laser over the skin’s surface which instantly breaks down the carbon, and absorbs any impurities due to the warming effect of the laser. When the laser has been passed over the face numerous times, we’ll then gently remove the carbon mask with our short pulse Q-Switched laser.
It’s a relaxing procedure that simply requires you to sit back and drift off if you so wish. Your skin will be left plumper, firmer and soft to the touch. You’ll also notice a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles straight away, and a much more even skin tone.
The Carbon Peel is a completely safe skin treatment, with no reports of major skin complications or painful side effects.
Preparation
If you have recently waxed or had laser hair removal on the area, we recommend waiting 1 week prior to having your Carbon Laser Treatment. Full sun exposure is to be avoided 2 weeks before & 2 weeks after your treatment. Fake tan applications are to be avoided 2 weeks before your treatment and must be completely removed prior to attending your appointment.
Post-treatment
You may notice some slight redness, and experience some tingling, but this will both subside post-treatment.
No downtime is required, and you will be able to resume daily activities straight away.
Number of Treatments
The number of treatments required vary per individual, as results are dependent on your skin type, area being treated, as well as the area size. As a treatment for an event, you may be happy with one session as it gives your skin immediate smoother, firmer, and brighter skin.
Generally, carbon laser treatments usually require fortnightly sessions. Every client is different and usually 6-8 treatments will give maximum results. Maintenance sessions are recommended to maintain results.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Most common areas of treatment include the face, neck, décolletage, hands, back, and buttocks.
Treatment time is quick with no downtime. You can have the treatment during your lunchtime break and go back to work with no special aftercare required. SPF is compulsory and applied after your treatment.
Results are instant. Smooth, soft, glowy and rejuvenated skin.

At times we may need to refer clients to their General Medical Practitioner for assessment and when in doubt will not treat until a Medical Clearance is provided. SPF must be worn daily.
