Ange's Story
Growing up in the Central West, I had a face full of acne as a teenager, and to this day, hormonal acne still plagues me! But that's what sparked my interest in skin, and right after high school, I went off to Beauty School to earn my Diploma in Beauty Therapy. And guess what? I was awarded 'Student of the Year,' and got a 12-month scholarship with The International Dermal Institute.
Since then, I've gone on to study various skin education courses, including Dermal Therapies with the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science. Finally, after almost two years of extensive study, I earned my Post Graduate Diploma in Dermal Therapy.
Studying Dermal Therapies gave me a wealth of knowledge about all things dermal – from skin and wound biology to dermatological conditions, and even the deep dive into physics, chemistry, psychology, and general anatomy and physiology. Basically, every system in your body can impact your skin health, so it's essential to understand it all! The course also had a focus on public health, risk management, tissue interactions, and advanced therapies such as lasers and light, chemical peeling, dermoscopy, nutrition, and post-surgical wound care, and so much more!
Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to work in some pretty amazing places, from a Medi-Spa in Manchester, England (where I even treated a few celebs!), a Day Spa on a tropical island, and even running my clinic in Darwin.
So, now, I'm here to share all my expertise with all of you. I'll help you understand what works (and what doesn't) when it comes to your skin and help you take the necessary steps towards healthy, glowing and clear skin for life!
